Achieving Aesthetics in a World of Challenges

Beauty may be the eye of the beholder but the patient, technician, team and clinician-each have a hand in what defines a successful outcome. There are many obstacles and challenges on the path to it. During this interactive lecture, Dr. Melkers will share his real-world experience from communication, diagnosis, case planning and achieving that success. From single tooth to sextant to full mouth rehabilitation, from brown to bleach white, Dr. Melkers will share his career experience of helping patients and clinicians achieve their goals and their smiles.
Course Objectives:
- Have a better understanding of patient-driven, aesthetic goals
- Appreciate photography for diagnosis, color, lab communication and case acceptance
- Recognize the key components of smile design
- Appreciate material choices and how they affect outcome and longevity
- How staging and phased treatment are possible

Building on day one, participants will experience the nuances of shape, color and contour. Together we will explore how modifications of each can help us achieve successful outcomes through a sea of challenges.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the impact of modifying shape and contour
- Know how to correct over-bulked and misshaped restorations
- Be able to fabricate provisional matrices and shell provisionals
- Stain and characterize provisional restorations
Speaker Bio:
