Fellowship Award

The Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD)

The FAGD award  is presented to less than 10% of dentists in the US and in Canada.

Achieving Fellowship status in the AGD demonstrates your commitment to delivering the highest quality of care to your patients. By becoming a Fellow you are elevating your dentistry while broadening your skills and offering more treatment options to your patients. You are also distinguishing yourself professionally among your peers while being a role model for both your fellow dentists and local community.

To earn this prestigious honor, you have to complete 500 hours of continuing dental education, pass a comprehensive written exam, and fulfill three years of continuous membership in the AGD. As a Fellowship Award recipient, you will join more that 6,400 active AGD Fellows who have gone above and beyond the basic requirements to care for their patients oral health.

The CAGD’s Pathway to Fellowship, helps members accomplish this esteemed credential by providing a structured group of courses that satisfy the fellowship requirements for earned credits.

No other state has such an organized and regular CE program specifically designed to help general dentists earn credits towards their Fellowship status.
