Thank you for your interest in our MasterTrack program beginning April 2021. We have finalized the curriculum and secured the speakers as well as the venue.
We only have 40 spots and this course is filling fast, if you miss this course the next opportunity to join the MasterTrack program will be April 2025.
Tuition:
- Total for 2021 – $2,250 for the remainder of 2021
Registration includes breakfast and lunch.
After you attend each session, you will come back and present a case that you did the following session.
Credits: 112 participation units (upon completion of your protocol presentations—that’s less than $41 per unit!)

MT 6 Year 1 Curriculum
SESSION 1 – 2021
Photography, Digital Imaging, and PowerPoint
Thursday April 8th with Dr. Guy Acheson
This course will provide the basis to allow participants to present protocols to the group in a Power Point format. AACD guidelines will be covered and the latest equipment and techniques will be discussed. Dr. Acheson is a founding member and past president of the Sierra-Sacramento Component of CAGD. He received his MAGD in 1998 and has lectured extensively in Photography and Digital Imagining and acted as a moderator for case presentations in all the previous MT programs. This session of 8 hrs of lecture will, with presentation in the fall session, give you 24 participation units in Electives.
Operative Dentistry
Friday & Saturday April 9th & 10th with Dr. Foroud Hakim

This hands-on course will focus on contemporary tooth colored restorations. Time will be split between direct esthetic restorations vs. the world of indirect, modern ceramic restorations including full and partial veneers. The focus will be on the principles of adhesion, material science driven selection rubrics and delivery techniques for optimal patient outcomes. Dr. Hakim is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Chair; Department of Integrated Reconstructive Dental Science at Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He has lectured internationally, has several publications and authored two chapters in the 2010 text, Esthetic Dentistry in Clinical Practice. These two sessions of 16 lecture hours will provide, with presentation, 32 hours of participation units in Operative Dentistry.
Anatomy of Oral Anesthesia
Sunday April 11th with Dr. Alan Budenz
The pharmacologic mechanisms and delivery techniques of local anesthesia will be covered. Appropriate use of various local anesthetics and how to solve some of the difficulties that arise in obtaining profound anesthesia will be discussed. Dr. Budenz is a Professor of Anatomy and Chair of the Department of Diagnostic and Emergency Services at Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. This 6-hour lecture, with homework, will provide 12 participation units in Basic Science

Periodontics
Thursday & Friday October 7th & 8th Dr. Avi Schetritt

This two-day program will review periodontal diagnosis, prognosis and surgical therapy. The principles of flap design, soft tissue grafting, and crown lengthening will be covered. The program will include hands-on labs to apply the techniques discussed. At the end of the lecture participants will also have an understanding of free and connective tissue grafting, suturing techniques, post-op care and management and autologous growth factors (PRF, PRGF). Dr. Schetritt has a private Periodontology practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is a Senior Editorial Reviewer for” Implant Dentistry Today,” (Official Journal of ICOI). He currently lectures throughout the country and in Canada. These two sessions will provide, with presentation, 32 participation units in Periodontics.
Protocol Presentations
Saturday October 9th Drs. Hakim, Acheson & Budenz
Participants will present and discuss homework projects from the previous session in operative, basic science and photography. Participation is necessary to receive full credit in these categories. Those who do not present will be given hour for hour lecture credit only.
Oral Diagnosis
Sunday October 10th Dr. Alan Budenz
A broad overview of the art and science of oral diagnosis and treatment planning with emphasis on health history, oral pathology and caries management. This 6-hour lecture with protocol presentation will yield 12 units of participation in Oral Diag. /Oral Med.
