Course Description:

This one-day course highlights the full potential of modern restorative dentistry— from prevention to interception to reconstruction—emphasizing how adhesive techniques have expanded treatment possibilities. The course will be presented through a series of carefully curated and well-documented clinical cases, each supported by long-term follow-ups that demonstrate real-world success and sustainability.

Key topics include remineralization, bleaching (internal & external, resin infiltration, tooth fragment reattachment, aesthetic composite bonding, and
bonded resin fixed partial prosthesis for missing anterior teeth.

Participants will learn to:

• Apply modern adhesive techniques for conservative, aesthetic outcomes.
• Understand the value of resin infiltration to reverse white spots and prevent the advancement of inter-proximal caries.
• Perform predictable fragment reattachment.
• Perform simple layering for beautiful optical effects that rival natural teeth.
• Communicate value-based care beyond insurance limitations.

The day concludes with an open discussion to help translate knowledge into practice.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Abdi Sameni is a 1991 graduate of Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. He lectures nationally and internationally on topics related to interdisciplinary dentistry, digital photography and its applications for dentistry, and various aspects of biomimetic and esthetic dentistry. He is the developer and former chairman of the “USC International Restorative Dentistry Symposium” for the Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC and in
2019 founded the Los Angeles Dental Symposium. Dr. Sameni is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies, which include The American College of Dentists, The American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and OKU National Dental Honor Society. In 2024 he joined and became a member of the Bio-Emulation group.

Dr. Sameni is a former Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Dentistry of Clinical Dentistry, USC. He is a former faculty for the “esthetic selective” which emphasizes a “biomimetic approach” to restorative and esthetic care. He was also the original director of the USC Advanced Esthetic Dentistry Continuum for the portion relating to indirect porcelain veneers. He maintains a private practice in West Los Angeles, California.
