Gina was trained in moderate IV sedation while in dental school and for 6 years post graduate\, she trained roughly half of the nation’s dental sedation providers in moderate IV sedation. Today she owns and maintains a full-time general dental practice\, provides mobile moderate sedation services to dentists in the Northern California area\, performs sedation evaluations for the Dental Board of California and operates a dental assisting program for teaching radiation safety. It serves as a conservative alternative to veneers or crowns\, closing gaps\, treating “black triangles” between teeth\, and repairing chips without removing healthy tooth structure. In this course we will cover these advanced composite techniques for both anterior and posterior teeth. You will learn The Bioclear Method and how to adapt the method to any matrix system you use. Following graduation from NYUCD\, Eric completed a general practice residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and served in the US Navy for five years. He left the Navy in 2021 to move back to his hometown of Rockport\, Maine with his husband\, Vincent\, where they enjoy skiing\, hiking\, boating and volunteering in the community. Eric joined his dad\, Dr. David Pier\, in private practice and has since purchased his practices with two partners. Eric also currently serves as president of the MidCoast Dental Society\, a component of the Maine Dental Association.  \nUpon joining his dad in clinical practice and learning The Bioclear Method\, Eric developed a strong passion for composite dentistry. At the Bioclear Learning Center\, he has completed the Core Anterior and Core Posterior Certifications as well as the Smile Design and Comprehensive Anterior Rejuvenation courses. In addition to Bioclear\, he has pursued continuing education through the Kois Learning Center\, where he has taken the full core curriculum and is scheduled to graduate in January 2027. The results Eric has been able to achieve for his patients using a modernized approach to composite dentistry has led to a passion for sharing these techniques with his colleagues in dentistry.   \n  \n  \n David Pier\, DMD\, FICD received his DMD degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1983. Following a 41-year career practicing dentistry in the Midcoast and attending thousands of hours of continuing education\, David “mostly” retired in June of 2024.  His focus now is to give back\, which includes providing pro bono dentistry for women who are survivors of domestic abuse as well as sharing his experiences and knowledge to serve the next generation. \nDavid was an assistant professor at University of New England\, College of Dental Medicine for six years. He has taught courses throughout the US on leadership skills\, communication in dentistry\, the Bioclear composite method\, and more; including being a lead presenter of Dental Boot Kamps under the late Walter Hailey\, CEO Team under Sunrise Dental Solutions\, and being a visiting instructor for Bioclear. \nDavid lives in Rockland with Karen – his wife of 46 years. He is the father of three sons\, one of which is a 2016 graduate of NYU College of Dentistry and now co-owner of the practices David built\, two daughters-in-law\, one son-in-law and five beautiful granddaughters. He is a member of Rockland Congregational Church where he is often asked to present sermons when the pastor is not available.
