SUMMARY:CAGD: Orofacial Pain: Muscle-Related Origins\, Differential Diagnosis\, and the Role of CBCT & MRI
DESCRIPTION:Summary:\n6:00pm to 8:30pm \nWhere: Marriott Irvine Spectrum \nSpeaker: Drs. Juergen Langenbach & Lynne Thomas \nTuition: light dinner included\nAGD members: $150\nNon-members: $299 \nCE: 2.5 Lecture\nAGD Subject Code: 200 (Orofacial Pain) \n  \nCourse Description:\n  \nOrofacial pain is a common and often multifactorial condition that can significantly affect quality of life. This lecture explores its key origins\, beginning with muscle-related sources such as myalgia and myofascial pain\, including their clinical presentation\, diagnosis\, and evidence-based management strategies. It then differentiates these from non-muscular causes (articular\, neuropathic\, odontogenic\, and systemic) and examines the complementary roles of CBCT and MRI in clarifying diagnosis\, guiding treatment decisions\, and correlating imaging findings with the clinical picture. \n  \nCourse Objectives\n\nIdentify the clinical features\, pathophysiology\, and evidence-based management strategies for\nmuscle-related orofacial pain.\nDifferentiate muscular from non-muscular sources of orofacial pain through systematic history and examination.\nSelect appropriate imaging (CBCT vs. MRI) and interpret key findings that influence diagnosis and treatment planning in orofacial pain patients.\n\n\n\n\n  \nAbout the Speakers:\n  \nGerman-born cosmetic dentist\, Dr. Juergen Langenbach\, has provided his dental expertise to a myriad of patients in both Germany and the United States. While serving as a dentist in the German Army\, Dr. Langenbach met Dr. Lynne Thomas and they agreed that southern California was the place to be. Setting up their practice in Poway\, CA in 2003\, Dr. Langenbach has consistently offered top-tier cosmetic\, restorative\, preventative dentistry\, and sleep apnea treatments. Through his diligence and dedication to his patients\, Dr. Langenbach has continued to touch lives and transform mouths with his special care and superb treatments. Among his esteemed accreditations and affiliations\, Dr. Langenbach is a Master in the highly esteemed Academy of General Dentistry. His main goal with any patient is to achieve beautiful\, safe\, and long-standing outcomes. \n  \nLynne Thomas\, DDS\, MAGD has actively built upon her knowledge gained at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry throughout her career. By joining and participating in high-echelon study groups and organizations\, such as becoming a Fellow with the Academy of General Dentistry and an accreditation candidate with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry\, Dr. Thomas added solid building blocks to an expanding knowledge base. In 2004\, Dr. Thomas integrated the art and science of digital dentistry by providing single visit crowns. Today she treats cases ranging from the straightforward to the complex. It’s this passion for interdisciplinary treatment\, with an emphasis on incorporating digital technology\, she loves to share with and motivate other dentists\, regardless of their years in practice. \n  \n  \n  \nRefund and Cancellation Policy:\n\nRegistrations are subject to a $50 non-refundable processing fee.\nCancellations made by email prior to 9/20/26 will receive a refund less the $50 processing fee.\nCancellations made after 9/20/26 are completely non-refundable.\nTransfer of a registration to another name will be considered by email request through 9/20/26.\n\n  \nRegistration:\n  \n\nIf you are NOT an AGD Member  and register as one\, you’ll need to re-register as a Non-Member to get in to any California AGD courses. SUMMARY:CAGD: BOTOX® /BoNT DENTISTRY ADVANCED WORKSHOP 2.0
DESCRIPTION:Inject With Confidence. Real Patients. Real Results. \n \nThis is a photo of a recent attendee injecting her patient under Dr. Langenbach’s\nguidance. You will inject your patient and get hands-on injection experience to add\nBotox®/BoNT therapy to your dental toolbox. \n  \nActual course evaluation from April 2025 workshop: \n“I have taken many courses in the last 2-3 years for facial esthetics. I never felt I received a firm grasp on how to fully offer Botox until I attended Dr. Langenbach’s course today! Dr. Langenbach was very thorough\, engaging\, took the time to explain answers clearly\, and had a great sense of humor! I’m grateful that he spent time meticulously demonstrating how to reconstitute Botox\, rather than just telling the attendees to “look it up”.
